How many buses does Madisonville Transit run? Two twelve-passenger, handicapped accessible buses: the Blue line and Green line. 

What hours do the buses run? Buses leave the Madisonville Transit terminal, from 120 East Arch Street, starting at 5:00 a.m. with the last runs leaving the terminal at 5:00 p.m. (Monday through Friday).  Please see our Maps & Schedules for additional bus schedule information. 

What does it cost to ride the bus? Please see our Fares for pricing details. 

How do I pay to ride the bus? For single rides, please pay drivers as you enter the bus.  Discounted weekly or monthly passes are also available for purchase from the Madisonville Transit terminal, at 120 East Arch Street.  Please see our Fares for additional pricing details. 

Where can I buy a weekly or monthly bus pass? Discounted weekly or monthly passes (giving you unlimited rides) may be purchased at the Madisonville Transit terminal, at 120 East Arch Street.  No pro-rated bus passes are available.  Please see our Fares for additional pricing details. 

How often do buses leave the Madisonville Transit terminal? Buses leave the terminal at the top of every hour. 

How old must I be to ride the bus alone? 12 years or older 

May my pet ride the bus with me? Your pet may only be allowed on board a Madisonville Transit bus if it is a properly controlled “Service Animal.” 

How far in advance do I have to schedule my trip if it deviates from a fixed route? You must call (270) 821-1595 at least 48 hours in advance to schedule a route deviation.  

Does my child have to be in a car seat or booster? Yes, children under 40 inches tall must be in an approved child or infant seat for transport.  Children under seven years of age and between 40 and 50 inches tall must be in a booster seat for transport. Madisonville Transit does not supply car seats or booster seats. 

Will weather affect bus routes? During inclement weather conditions, Madisonville Transit may suspend services or operate on a limited basis.  Please call 270-821-1595 or check local media outlets for service updates.
