The true meaning of Christmas shone through in Madisonville, Kentucky this holiday season thanks to the collaboration of various businesses and individuals within the community as it hosted the first annual Community Christmas Dinner.
Madisonville was excited to spread cheer with their First Annual ‘Christmas in Mad City’ winter event that took place on Saturday, December 2nd, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM in downtown.
The City of Madisonville has been named one of fourteen Kentucky organizations recognized for their commitment and success in maintaining a safe workplace and will receive the KEMI Destiny Award.
Madisonville’s First Annual Mad City Fall Fest last Saturday brought out massive crowds, great weather, and a variety of activities to enjoy.
Madisonville Hopkins County Economic Development Corporation and the Hopkins County Fiscal Court as co-applicants were awarded a $1.068 million grant to fund the renovation, equipping and programming of a 7,000-square foot building at 130 N. Seminary Street to help local entrepreneurs, especially those workers and families displaced by coal industry changes, establish their new businesses.
