Summer Recreation Program

Madisonville's Summer Recreation Program exists to provide participants with a safe, fun environment for leisure and recreational activities.

The program is intended for a limited number of participants between the ages of 6 and 17 who follow directions and respond appropriately to adult supervision in large groups.  Through this program, the staff will devote themselves to insure that the goals and objectives of this program are achieved. 

Participants:  

1st - 5th Grade:  Pride Elementary School (located on Pride Ave.)

6th - 10th Grade:  Carney Center Site (on Martin Luther King Blvd)

Hours:  9:00 AM to 2:00 PM Weekdays
(Hours may vary on field trip days)

Activities:  Games, arts and crafts, movies, guest speakers, swimming, field trips and more.

Food Service:  The Hopkins County YMCA and the Board of Education will continue to provide free lunches through the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Summer Food Service Program.  Program Staff will be trained by the YMCA for recording and distribution.

Registration Form:  Each child must be signed up either before the program begins or on the first day of the program.  Registration forms can be picked up at the Larry Carney Center or at Pride Elementary with registration forms available on the first day.

Information:  The Summer Youth Programs begin each June going through July with the exception of the July 4th holiday.  For more information contact:
