What is Madisonville Forward?
Madisonville Forward is the campaign to put YOUR restaurant tax dollars to work! 75% of the tax dollars go towards projects that promote tourism (for example, our new, super cool skatepark on Sugg St, the brand new mini golf course set to open in the summer of 2018, the new playground at Madisonville City Park, and other updates at places like the YAA fields and Elmer Kelley Stadium) and the other 25% of the dollars go towards events like this that promote tourism (think Friday Night Live, 4thFest, Kidapalooza, and even more in the months to come!).
How can the city put on these huge events?
Because we're The Best Town on Earth, of course! We also put your restaurant tax dollars (aka the 3% tax you pay to eat in TBTOE) to work, we have great community partners like our Friday Night Live 2018 presenting sponsors Land O Frost and Independence Bank, and we've gpt a whole gang of city employees who work hard making sure we have adequate electricity, lots of lighting, clean parks, safe stages, and plenty of places to get rid of your trash.
Where do we park?
Downtown events - anywhere in the downtown area that you can find! We have several public lots.
City park events - our park will have a parking team to fit as many in the venue as we can. Overflow can park at the Parkway Plaza Mall near the movie theatre and the shuttle will take you right into the park!
How do I become a vendor?
Download our Friday Night Live Vendor App HERE.
Are non-profits allowed to fundraise at Friday Night Live?
Absolutely! We've even got a lowered vendor booth rate for non-profits. Download the vendor app above and get to work!
Will the artists be selling t-shirts and other merchandise at the events?
What time do the shows start?
Doors open at 6, shows start at 7!
Do we need to purchase tickets for Friday Night Live?
Nope! The events are free to the public and require no prior registration!
Can we bring our own alcohol?
Nope! We'll have beer/wine vendors at each event though and anyone 21+ is able to indulge.
Can we bring our dogs?
Sure! Make sure they're on a leash and please clean up after them.
Do you allow lawn chairs?
Can we bring a cooler?
We ask that you do not. We always have lots of yummy food and beverage vendors and we ask that you give them a try!
What happens if it rains?
We do our best to make sure the show will go on, but if we do have to cancel, keep an eye on this website, the City of Madisonville Facebook Page, and sign up for our Go Madisonville Text Alerts by texting GOMADVILLE to 51660.
Is there a chance to meet any artist?
There sure is! Make sure to keep an eye out on the City of Madisonville Facebook Page for meet & greet ticket giveaways and other autographed merch!
Is this event family-friendly?
Always! Friday Night Live has something for everyone and the Kidz Zone is full of inflatables and other kid-friendly attractions and activities!
